Quinta da Gaivosa, LBV Porto 2019

Located in the heart of Douro Valley, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, Quinta da Gaivosa has 25 ha of vineyards. Using a holistic approach to making great wines by combining nature, a shared history and the personal touch of the Alves de Sousa family, who have worked on Quinta da Gaivosa wines and vineyards for 5 generations. Their LBV Porto 2019 is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo). Deep ruby ​​colour, it has expressive aromas of prunes, liquorice and juicy blackberry. The palate is very well balanced and velvety, with hints of dark chocolate and firm but well-integrated tannins. Long and harmonious finish. Drinking well now, but will evolve well in the bottle over the next 5-10 years.
